« Back to Product DescriptionFeeding Directions - Young Birds
This food is easily introduced to young birds at the time of weaning by following these simple steps. It is easier to introduce young birds to a life of better eating rather than wait until they become mature seed eaters. In fact, there isn't any nutritional reason for birds to eat seeds when there is a better alternative like ALLPREM.
- Parent raised fledglings should be separated as soon as they show interest in eating by themselves.
- Place moist ALLPREM in a shallow cup by itself.
- Closely observe the fledglings to make sure they are eating.
- It may be necessary to mix ALLPREM with warm water and some small millet to attract their interest at first. The millet should be removed as soon as the youngsters are observed eating ALLPREM. If the parents are already trained to eat ALLPREM, this step is not necessary.
